The colors and scent used in candles
Whatever color the candles need to be, whether black candles or blue or pink the color of the candle comes from the pigment that is added to the candle. Manufacturers however have to make sure that the color pigment that they are adding to the wax is not toxic because when the candle burns that toxic substance would be released into the air around it to harm the health of everybody breathing that air in. The pigment that is used can be one that is solid, liquid or even powdered. However, this pigment is very concentrated and not even an ounce of it is required to color about half a pound of candle wax put together. For scented candles, the candle fragrance would also have to be added. This fragrance can also come in the form of solid or liquid. However, this aroma being used also needs to be non-toxic.
